SUCCESS OF THE PILOT PROJECT
According to the GSMA, the success of the project is in part due to its simplicity and to the fact that iCivil digitalizes the existing registration process and enables to identify with precision the babies thanks to their bracelets.
FROM PILOT PHASE TO ROLL-OUT
The solution is currently being rolled-out at a national level in Burkina Faso. It has been well accepted by the population, government bodies and the international partners.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FUTURE
There is a huge opportunity for governments and telecom operators to collaborate in the delivery of foundational digital identity on a national scale. With iCivil, the wide range of services that can be rolled-out within the system are major growth opportunities for telecom operators.
